Red Balau(Batu) is one of many different species of Mahogany imported from SE Asia. Red Balau is known for its dense structure and long lasting durability, which makes it naturally resistant to insects and decay. This hardwood is reddish brown in color. Overtime if left untreated your fence or deck will silver out like all other hardwoods.

Dark Red Meranti is another hardwood imported from SE Asia also known as Philippine Mahogany. Dark Red Meranti is more dense than Cedar, but not as dense as Ipe or Red Balau. Still similar in quality to other hardwoods although Dark Red Meranti is more affordable. This hardwood is a light brown color. Dark Red Meranti is a beautiful product for your decking, fencing or siding project.

Massaranduba (Torem) is a new species of hardwood we are excited to stock. Massaranduba is from Indonesia and is known for its beautiful dark reddish brown color. This hardwood is almost as dense as Ipe with a Janka rating of 3,190. Since Massaranduba has such a high density it is naturally resistant to insect rot and decay. This hardwood last just as long as Ipe for a better price!
